1) The Preserve - Tamworth, NH - https://www.reservethepreserve.com
If you’re looking for a quintessential slice of New Hampshire beauty, this is the wedding venue you’ve been looking for. Sitting at the base of 360 degree mountain views, this estate has endless historic charm with an “old world” farm feel that inspires guests to unplug and be present for your wedding weekend. Nearby is the famous Mount Chocorua and the beautiful lake at its base where you can take photos on a picture perfect wood bridge. Their Barn can hold more than 225 guests for those big parties or you can keep it small and intimate with a ceremony in their quaint Maple Sugar shack Sap House. They can accommodate up to 60 overnight guests allowing couples to make a whole weekend out of their celebration with family and friends on site for the length of the gathering. The outdoor fireplace and pavilion is a cozy spot both for winter weddings and summer evenings. Making it even more special to me, they are committed to being green and sustainable so they strive to produce the smallest carbon footprint possible when hosting events. All in all - if you’re looking to give your guests the true New Hampshire experience, The Preserve is the place to be.
2) The Barn at Powder Major Farm - Madbury, NH - https://www.powdermajorsfarm.com
This venue is definitely a barn wedding elevated. Couples can turn this renovated 1804 barn into their reception dream. The authentic Yankee timber frame and reclaimed barn boards are accented by antique patina and hand hewn post and beams. Outside is a patio and beautifully landscaped ceremony space that allows for a stunning backdrop of rolling farm fields. If you want the perfect golden hour and sunset photos, this is the place to do them. The farm is in a quiet and secluded area so that you don’t hear traffic or the outside world. If you’re like me and you appreciate modern plumbing - the REAL bathrooms make this an elegant farm experience for you and your guests. Bring in your own dream vendor team and the caterer’s will thank you for their large accessible kitchen space. This is really the best place to create the custom farm wedding you’ve been dreaming about but with modern amenities to please even the toughest family critics.
3) Eagle Mountain House Jackson, NH - https://www.eaglemt.com
I absolutely love The Eagle Mountain House for New Hampshire love stories. When I think of New Hampshire my heart screams White Mountains National Park, covered bridges, and of course white watered river gorges. This beautiful antique hotel is situated in Jackson, New Hampshire - away from the hustle and bustle of North Conway. After driving through the covered bridge in the sweet old town, you drive up a winding side road until you are met with views of mountains nestled between rolling green golf course hills. The tall white hotel with quintessential green roofs is accented by long porches with big rocking chairs overlook the incredible scenery that surrounds your guests. The ceremony space is tucked away amongst tall trees but has the breathtaking backdrop of mountain ranges that go on for days. Block off rooms for all of your guests and spend the weekend celebrating love and being loved in New Hampshire’s White Mountains.
